8 May Part 1One of the special aspects of riding motorcycles is that it is as much, or sometimes more, about the journey than about the destination. You are in the moment all the time, in the scenery and experience everything more intensely than you possibly could while walking or driving in a car.
The beauty of riding in South Africa is that the scenery can dramatically change minute by minute. You can crest a rise overlooking forests and the ocean with rugged dry Karoo mountains still in your rear-view mirror.
Then we have the added bonus of the people in South Africa being strong, independent individuals with big open hearts and incredible hospitality. Bikers perhaps more so than anyone else.
On Wednesday we got a last minute request from Herman v Staden to pop into the Plettenberg Bay Ski Boat Club for breakfast. It was quite a treat!
