Day 16: Tzaneen to Soweto
It’s a beautiful morning and we’re well rested. Thank you for all your hospitality and lovely food Lara & George at the Amble Inn just outside of Tzaneen. Soon it is time to saddle up, with the next destination, Soweto Cheshire Home in Gauteng.
Pierre Lundberg from Airborne Riders joined the team at Kranskop on the last stretch to Johannesburg.
He guided us through busy traffic to the Cheshire Home in Soweto just after 16:30 in the afternoon.
The sun was setting quickly over the colourful and lively streets of Soweto and Dave Barr and the Rough Riders were definitely turning some heads.
We arrived safely at Soweto Cheshire home and were greeted by happy faces..
..and some great boerewors rolls that the Weber cheffs prepared for us.
Dave Barr chats to an amazing man, Jerry Nkeli, Chairman of Cheshire Homes South Africa who volunteers his time to the awareness of disability in SA.
It had been 6500km across South Africa and what an amazing experience and deeply valuable to all.
